Welcome to Imperialism Map!
Watch as NFL franchises battle for control of America in real-time. Our interactive NFL imperialism map is the only one with a week-by-week slider — rewind to Week 1 to see how your team’s empire grew (or collapsed) throughout the season.
Unlike static Reddit posts, this map updates within 24 hours of every game. Zoom into enemy territory, filter by division, or jump to any week to see exactly when your rival stole your land. Every upset, every winning streak, every backup QB disaster — it’s all here on the map.
Pro tip: Use the timeline slider to find the exact week your team peaked. Screenshot it. Save it forever.

How NFL Territory Conquest Works
Every NFL team starts with territory based on a Voronoi diagram from their home stadium location — creating natural boundaries where each point on the map belongs to the nearest team. When the Packers beat the Bears, Green Bay takes all of Chicago’s territory. Lose to a backup QB in Week 17? Say goodbye to your empire. It’s beautifully simple and brutally unforgiving, just like the NFL playoffs.
Territory Rules
Each team starts with territory based on closest stadium (Voronoi diagram)
Win = you take ALL of the loser’s current territory
Lose = you lose everything (even if you had 40 territories)
Ties split territory evenly
London games and neutral sites still follow winner-takes-all
Los Angeles and New York teams use their training facility locations
Territory accumulates all season — no resets until next year
